Mark 12:31 (NKJV) 31 And the second, like it, is this: \u2018You shall love your neighbor as yourself.\u2019 There is no other commandment greater than these<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n

There is no other commandment greater than the one telling us to love our neighbor as ourselves.<\/p>\n

This kind of love will only come from God. It\u2019s His love that will empower us to love rightly, both ourselves and our neighbor.<\/p>\n

Agapao, the verb, and agape, the noun are the words for God\u2019s unconditional love.<\/p>\n

There is no need for chemistry, an affinity, or a feeling.<\/p>\n

It is unconditional love by choice and by the act of His will. Agape will never seek anything but the highest good for fellow mankind.<\/p>\n

It is God\u2019s love!<\/p>\n

How do we reach a point in our lives where we are able to love in such a way?<\/p>\n

First, it is important to understand that human nature is incapable of loving this way. Humans are inherently self-centered.<\/p>\n

We can only love this way by the Spirit of God.<\/p>\n

We must live by His Word. His Word <\/i>will guide us in all our actions.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s up to us to read it, to take it in and to follow it as the Holy Spirit leads us to do so.<\/p>\n

It is a choice to want to love in such a way. It is a sacrifice, and it takes strength from God to walk out such a great commandment.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t come easy. But it is fulfilling when we obey and take the steps we need to take; one step at a time.<\/p>\n

Who is God asking us to love today, unconditionally, without having to have feelings toward them?<\/p>\n

Be prayerful and obey. He will complete us and equip us to love and do good in such a way.<\/p>\n

Let us immerse ourselves in His word and allow the Holy Spirit to lead our actions.<\/p>\n

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV) 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.<\/p>\n
