Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV) 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n

What part of these verses caught my attention today? \u201cLearn from Me\u201d.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s so important that we learn from Jesus. The whole Bible was written so we could learn, grow and live an abundant life in Him!<\/p>\n

Everything we need to know is in there. And if we learn the right way of doing things, we won\u2019t be heavy laden, for His yoke is easy.<\/p>\n

The hard part is “unlearning” those things we\u2019ve been taught that are incorrect and have been habitual for most of our lives.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not easy starving old habits and changing up our routines. Our flesh loves both and most times will fight tooth and nail for them to remain.<\/p>\n

If we want rest, though, we must stick to and follow His plan.<\/p>\n

First, go to Him.<\/p>\n

He says, come to Me. Not to your family, not your best friend, not your neighbor, or even those closest to us. But to Him.<\/p>\n

Second, follow Him and learn from Him. His word will teach us everything we need to know.<\/p>\n

Third, enter His rest. As we obey Him, the heavy burden will be lifted.<\/p>\n

The Lord is good! Amen.<\/p>\n
