John 14:6 (NKJV) 6 Jesus said to him, \u201cI am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me<\/span>.<\/p>\n

In yesterday\u2019s devotional, we firmly established who Jesus is.<\/p>\n

Today we will examine who He is from a different perspective; our own personal point of view.<\/p>\n

So, today\u2019s question is, \u201cwho is Jesus to you?\u201d.<\/p>\n

In John 14:6 (above) we can clearly see that Jesus is the only Way to the Father.<\/p>\n

What did He mean when He spoke those words?<\/p>\n

When making this bold statement, He was proclaiming that He is \u201cthe bridge\u201d between us and the Father. Without Him, we have no right to access the Father in heaven.<\/p>\n

Why are we separated from God?<\/p>\n

Our sin makes us unholy (unrighteous). And because God is holy, we cannot approach Him.<\/p>\n

Jesus also said that God had such immense love for humanity that He sent His Son (Jesus) to die for them, giving every human being the opportunity (through Jesus) to inherit eternal life.<\/p>\n

John 3:16 (NKJV) 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Because Jesus died as a sacrifice for our sins, we have the opportunity to accept this gift of redemption, have our sins forgiven, and be made clean, holy and righteous before God.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, putting our faith in Jesus gives us the right to be called sons and daughters of God.<\/p>\n

John 1:12 (NKJV) 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:<\/p>\n

You see, it is not just about knowing who Jesus is that matters.<\/p>\n

Many know who He is. But few accept Him and take Him at His word<\/p>\n
