Job 5:17 (NKJV) 17 \u201cBehold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.<\/p>\n

This verse is amazing!<\/p>\n

I know, I know,… no one likes to be corrected, especially when we are adults. But this verse, if we embrace it, will help us live a much more joyful life.<\/p>\n

How many times do we say to God, \u201chelp me to know what I need to do”?<\/p>\n

How many times do we cry out, \u201cGod, I need your wisdom\u201d?<\/p>\n

How many times do we say, \u201cGod, where are you\u201d?<\/p>\n

But when He shows up, do we not like what He says we must do or say? \u00a0We think, “this can\u2019t be Him; He wouldn\u2019t ask this of me”.<\/p>\n

God will bring perfect correction every time. The question is, “are we open to it?”.<\/p>\n

Just the other day, I was crying out to Him; “Lord, help me to be your vessel and to learn to say and do the right things”.<\/p>\n

I will admit, sometimes I become exhausted because I have been in intense training, trying to get it right.<\/p>\n

How many of you know what it feels like to be in intense training for something?<\/p>\n

You feel like you are dying by the end. So much work and discipline go into getting ready to achieve your goal.<\/p>\n

And what seems to be the worst is realizing how much we lack in certain areas.<\/p>\n

But I know you\u2019re probably thinking, “why bother?”.<\/p>\n

Why? Because it is all part of our growing process.<\/p>\n

Allowing God to correct us and teach us is the beginning of a beautiful relationship with Him, and becoming that vessel He can use!<\/p>\n

2 Timothy 2:21 (NKJV) 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.<\/p>\n

Hallelujah, correct us Lord!<\/p>\n
