2 Timothy 2:23 (NKJV) 23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.<\/p>\n

What kind of talk are we getting caught up in?<\/p>\n

If it’s idle talk that isn\u2019t going anywhere, hold back. Instead, pray! Prayer goes much further and bears good fruit.<\/p>\n

When we get into heated conversations and our<\/i> words are not going to make a difference, why bother?<\/p>\n

Why do we even want to engage in conversations that are going to generate strife, causing people to become angrier than they already are?<\/p>\n

We need to learn that there will be conversations where we will need to explain or break down certain things in detail. However, such conversations will be led by the Holy Spirit, not by our emotions.<\/p>\n

He knows the right tone, the right words, and has the wisdom to reach people where they are at. Let Him guide our conversations and they will be fruitful and fulfilling.<\/p>\n

We will walk away knowing that He gave us what we needed to speak about, bringing life into that very situation.<\/p>\n

Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV) 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.<\/p>\n
