Psalm 13:5-6 (NKJV) 5 But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. 6 I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.<\/p>\n

The 13th Psalm is a prayer of David.<\/p>\n

In his prayer, David sought God, asking how long it would be before He answered David\u2019s requests.<\/p>\n

He wondered how long his enemy would be exalted over him.<\/p>\n

He wrestled with the sorrow in his heart.<\/p>\n

And he cried out for God to hear him and enlighten his eyes, lest he sleep the sleep of death.<\/p>\n

It is very easy to see that David was in tough shape, badly needing God\u2019s intervention on his behalf.<\/p>\n

But David didn\u2019t sulk. He didn\u2019t walk away from God. And he didn\u2019t abandon his faith in God.<\/p>\n

What did he do?<\/p>\n

He rejoiced in his salvation.<\/p>\n

He sang to the Lord.<\/p>\n

And he expressed his absolute trust in God, stating that God had dealt with him bountifully (abundantly).<\/p>\n

This is a great lesson for us all to learn; to trust in God no matter what we face, whether He answers us right away, or we have to wait in silence.<\/p>\n

He is worthy of our trust.<\/p>\n
