Matthew 6:15 (NKJV) 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses<\/span>.<\/p>\n

If we want to be forgiven of our sins, we do not have the right to pick and choose who and when we will forgive.<\/p>\n

God’s word is clear that forgiving others is not optional.<\/p>\n

But some people don’t understand the importance of this.<\/p>\n

They are holding grudges against others, thinking they are going to be forgiven despite not being willing to forgive others who have sinned against them.<\/p>\n

The words above were spoken by Jesus. He is telling us very clearly that if we do not forgive men, our Father will not forgive us.<\/p>\n

Forgiving someone for something they\u2019ve done is a requirement that we must pay attention to.<\/p>\n

It is something that will help us tremendously. When we forgive, our broken heart will begin to heal. And God will forgive us if we obey Him in this.<\/p>\n

Today, let us forgive that one who has hurt us. That one who has spoken badly of us. That one who has taken from us, cast us out or shunned us in some way.<\/p>\n

Is there someone who has abused us, emotionally, physically, or in some other way? Is there someone who has lied to us, or cheated us?<\/p>\n

This is a very serious promise that Jesus has spoken about; one that can affect our lives deeply.<\/p>\n

Forgive them that our Father will forgive us and bring healing to our wounds.<\/p>\n

Dear God,<\/p>\n

I come to You today. Please help me to know where I am holding unforgiveness in my heart and against whom.<\/p>\n

I choose today with everything in me to forgive them. I am grateful that as I forgive them You have forgiven me.<\/p>\n

Thank you, Lord God, in the mighty and precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen<\/p>\n
