Galatians 6:1 (NKJV) 1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.<\/p>\n

Restore in a spirit of gentleness.<\/p>\n

I have never been one to beat up on someone if they have fallen. I won’t do it.<\/p>\n

The old saying, \u201cdon\u2019t kick them when they are down\u201c was something I grew up with as a child.<\/p>\n

However, I know many people kick and kick hard when someone has messed up.<\/p>\n

It’s a good thing God doesn’t kick us when we have fallen or messed up. It’s a good thing He shows us mercy and compassion.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not something we can think about whether we should do this or not. It is what God tells us to do. It is how we are supposed to react, as His child, toward one that has sinned.<\/p>\n

So many think they can get angry and fly off the handle. But where will that get us?<\/p>\n

Do we think we will never be tempted at times and fall into sin?<\/p>\n

We will. And if so, we want to make sure that we have someone there to restore us with a spirit of gentleness.<\/p>\n

We must remind ourselves the next time someone we know messes up, that gentleness will help restore them. Not being mean, or angry at them.<\/p>\n
