Psalm 40:1-3 (NKJV) 1 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, \u00a0And heard my cry. 2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. 3 He has put a new song in my mouth\u2014 Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord.<\/p>\n

I love how David said that he waited PATIENTLY.<\/p>\n

Waiting patiently is not the same as just waiting.<\/p>\n

The word patient means to be able to accept or tolerate delays, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.<\/p>\n

Waiting patiently is a whole new level of waiting.<\/p>\n

It is waiting without putting up a fuss.<\/p>\n

It is waiting and keeping quiet, not complaining while waiting for the answer.<\/p>\n

It is waiting without telling everyone what you are going through and how long you\u2019ve been dealing with it.<\/p>\n

To sum it up, waiting patiently is trusting God\u2019s timing, God\u2019s answer, and God\u2019s steps.<\/p>\n

What happens when we wait like this? God hears us!<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right! We may be very quiet or still, but He hears our cry through our heart. This is amazing!<\/p>\n

Psalm 46:10 (NKJV) 10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!<\/p>\n

Know that He is God and He will bring us out of our situation as we follow the steps He gives us.<\/p>\n

Let us shout from deep in our spirit a new song of deliverance! Amen.<\/p>\n
