1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NKJV) 17 pray without ceasing,<\/p>\n

It\u2019s 3 AM. You\u2019ve awakened. And now you can\u2019t get back to sleep.<\/p>\n

Maybe you don\u2019t know why you awoke. Maybe you do.<\/p>\n

But sleep evades you now.<\/p>\n

What do you do?<\/p>\n

What can be done to make use of this time that is seemingly being wasted, tossing and turning in your bed?<\/p>\n

Pray!<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t know what to pray for, or for whom?<\/p>\n

Listen for God\u2019s voice; His Spirit that leads us, guides us, and prompts us.<\/p>\n

He guides us into all truth. And He will surely place someone, or some situation, on our hearts to pray for!<\/p>\n

Meditate on His word.<\/p>\n

Let His word bring peace to your mind. Let it soothe your soul and feed your spirit!<\/p>\n

Those wee hours of the night and very early morning can be used to strengthen us.<\/p>\n

They can be used to lift up others who need strengthening.<\/p>\n

They can be used to do spiritual warfare, bringing down strongholds, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.<\/p>\n

And meditate on His word. Let it illuminate your soul and bring you into His presence.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t count these times as lost sleep. Count them as hours gained doing the work of a soldier of Christ!<\/p>\n
