Ephesians 5:2 (NKJV) 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.<\/p>\n

We all have someone we look up to.<\/p>\n

Most times it is someone that we admire and want to be like because we believe in who they are, or we like that they are successful in a certain area of their life, etc.<\/p>\n

We can say that when someone is successful, or well known, it attracts attention. We will spend hours watching and researching a successful person\u2019s lifestyle, etc.<\/p>\n

Most times we will try to be like them by observing the way they carry themselves; their behaviors and mannerisms.<\/p>\n

Sometimes we will take on their traits as part of our own persona.<\/p>\n

We will fake who we are just to be like them.<\/p>\n

With God we don\u2019t have to fake to be like Him.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t have to pretend to be someone else. He wants us to be ourselves. He wants us to be real. He wants us to walk like He walks; in love.<\/p>\n

Ephesians 5:1 (NKJV) 1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.<\/p>\n

Walking in love does not mean that we never speak up, that we always stand back and let others do and say what they want versus what is right.<\/p>\n

No, there will be times when we will speak up. There will be times when we will have to do hard things that bring attention to us, but we will do it with His understanding and wisdom.<\/p>\n

Ephesians 5:17 (NKJV) 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.<\/p>\n

So, let us be Christlike, walking in love, but standing for truth when necessary, even if it might be uncomfortable or difficult.<\/p>\n
