Daniel 6:3 (NKJV) 3 Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.<\/p>\n

As we obey God, we are going to experience a spirit of excellence working in and through us! Who is this spirit of excellence?<\/p>\n

The Holy Spirit!<\/p>\n

As we walk in His guidance, paying attention is crucial.<\/p>\n

He will alert us, warn us, correct us, teach us, and prompt us at times when we least expect it.<\/p>\n

For example…<\/p>\n

One recent day, I went to the store to grab some balloons. As I approached the woman at the register, she came over to give me a hand with the balloons.<\/p>\n

But then she quickly left me standing there and went to help someone who had come to her cash register. I waited a bit, and she then took another customer. Her line just kept growing.<\/p>\n

I thought, “she is busy, let me help her.”<\/p>\n

So, I started to grab my own balloons out of the drawer so that they would be ready for her to fill them up when she was ready to do so.<\/p>\n

She then turned to me and said, with a very impolite tone, “you’re not supposed to touch the balloons.”<\/p>\n

I looked at her with a smile on my face and said, “well then, come help me!”<\/p>\n

But she didn’t laugh. And she did not come to help me. Someone else eventually came over to assist me, and I left the store after paying for the balloons.<\/p>\n

Later that day, I was reminded of the incident. God was teaching me about reflections. It’s not about who’s right or wrong; it’s about how I, His child, respond to any given situation.<\/p>\n

No matter what we do or how we handle it, it reflects on Him.<\/p>\n

I realized I could have done better, and I repented for the way I handled it. I told Him, “when I go back, I promise to make it right with her.”<\/p>\n

A few days later I needed some items. And when I got to the store, she was working.<\/p>\n

I got the items I needed, and I went to her register. While putting my items on the the belt, I noticed she wouldn\u2019t make eye contact with me. And I could tell she was a little tense when I showed up in her line.<\/p>\n

I took a deep breath and said the first thing that came to mind; \u201cI love your necklace!”<\/p>\n

She looked at me and with a big smile began to tell me she made it herself. It was probably the best thing I could have said to her. And everything got better from there.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s the Holy Spirit! He knows. He will lead us to say or do the right thing at the right time if we listen.<\/p>\n

Walk in His excellence, child of God!<\/p>\n
