John 8:36 (NKJV) 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Christ has made us free!<\/p>\n

Now, if a bird is set free from its cage, it is free. If this same bird decides to go back to that cage, and someone comes and closes that door behind him, is he still free?<\/p>\n

Of course not.<\/p>\n

This is the same as if Christ makes us free and we return to our place of bondage, or our cage, and the devil comes and shut us in; we put ourselves right back where we were before.<\/p>\n

Are we free in that cage? Some may say yes, we are! Once free always free. I would not want to be wrong about this on judgement day, would you?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s up to us to stand fast in our freedom, by not going back to the bondage\/cage we were once in. Let us be sure in our decisions and not play with eternity.<\/p>\n

The Word says, we must resist the devil before he will flee. In other words, he is not just going to lay down and die, so to speak, and let us live an easy life. He\u2019s fighting to take our lives. He wants us dead, with no eternity and no life with Jesus.<\/p>\n

James 4:7 (NKJV) 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.<\/p>\n

Resist is a verb here. We have to take action. That\u2019s right; no one can do it for us. We have to walk away from it!<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t go back to the place that we have been set free from. Cry out to God for help. His strength is made perfect in our weakness.<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV) 9 And He said to me, \u201cMy grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.\u201d Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.<\/p>\n

God, help us to walk in the freedom You have given us, that our souls may live with You in heaven for eternity!<\/p>\n
