Psalm 23:3 (NKJV) 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name\u2019s sake.<\/p>\n

I like how the word restore is used in this verse.<\/p>\n

To restore something or someone means to bring it or them back to former conditions.<\/p>\n

In the beginning, before Adam and Eve disobeyed God and He \u00a0sent them out of the Garden, they had a good relationship with Him. It was pure, and they were close to Him. They were safe with Him.<\/p>\n

But things changed when they disobeyed Him and failed to follow His instructions.<\/p>\n

All our lives were affected by this one act of disobedience that took place in the garden with Adam and Eve. Everything was brought to a halt.<\/p>\n

The relationship that was there was no longer the same. Our lives were changed.<\/p>\n

But thank God He doesn’t leave us orphans.<\/p>\n

John 14:18 (NKJV) 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you<\/span>.<\/p>\n

He chose to come down and restore us back to Him. Praise our glorious Father in heaven!<\/p>\n

Our salvation in Christ is just that.<\/p>\n

It is a complete restoration of our right standing with God, bringing us back to the beginning, when He first created us.<\/p>\n

Jesus Christ is the restorer for our souls. He was God\u2019s answer to getting us back in that righteous relationship with Him.<\/p>\n

John 3:17 (NKJV) 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Amen.<\/p>\n
