Proverbs 14:26-27 (NKJV) 26 In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, And His children will have a place of refuge. 27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death.<\/p>\n

I’ve always wondered how we must fear the Lord.<\/p>\n

A God that is kind, caring, and full of love; how do we fear Someone like Him?<\/p>\n

The verses above say that as we fear Him, there is confidence, a place of refuge, and a fountain of life.<\/p>\n

How do we walk in this type of fear that these verses talk about, wanting to go to Him for help, while also not being afraid<\/i> of Him?<\/p>\n

This fear is not a type of fear that pulls us away from Him, but that draws us to <\/i>Him.<\/p>\n

It is a walk that we choose.<\/p>\n

We can despise it if we wish to. But if we do, we are saying no to God\u2019s knowledge, wisdom and instructions; the very things that will guide us into the life and relationship that He has for us.<\/p>\n

Proverbs 1:7 (NKJV) 7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.<\/p>\n

To despise something means to feel intense dislike, contempt, or loathing for it, viewing it as worthless, distasteful, or beneath you, often stemming from a strong sense of aversion or moral judgment.<\/p>\n

This is why many today who call themselves believers, pastors, prophets, teachers, worship leaders, etc., produce only bad fruit. It is rotten.<\/p>\n

There is no fear of the Lord, thus there is no good fruit.<\/p>\n

Matthew 7:20 (NKJV) 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.<\/p>\n

And when you see that there is no fruit, you will also notice there is no fountain of life moving through them to bear such fruit.<\/p>\n

Let’s talk more about this tomorrow.<\/p>\n
