1 Corinthians 4:20 (AMP) 20 For the kingdom of God is not based on talk but on power.<\/p>\n

Many people, including followers of Christ, have the mistaken notion that God\u2019s kingdom is based on, and was built on, words.<\/p>\n

We hear words every day. We hear and see people talking, sharing thoughts, ideas, etc.<\/p>\n

Some talk is meaningful. Other talk, not so much.<\/p>\n

But in all this talking, something gets lost; the fact that God\u2019s kingdom is more than talk, more than words.<\/p>\n

It is power.<\/p>\n

The NLT translation states it plainly.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 4:20 (NLT) 20 For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God\u2019s power.<\/p>\n

Somewhere in all that talk, the power of the truth can get jumbled up and fuzzy. And if we are not careful, the reality of that power fades until it is no longer recognizable.<\/p>\n

But let\u2019s be clear; the power of the kingdom of God never truly goes away. We just lose sight of it amid all the noise and chatter that we have been inundated with.<\/p>\n

When we strip away that noise, the reality of God\u2019s kingdom and power becomes undeniable.<\/p>\n

Some of the clearest examples of this power can be witnessed in the New Testament, especially in the book of Acts, where God’s power was on display in the lives of the believers.<\/p>\n

The miraculous works that were carried out by ordinary men and women are proof of what God wants His church to be.<\/p>\n

So let us lay aside the talk and chatter and get about the business of walking out God\u2019s power in our daily lives, that we might be more than talking heads, but vessels through which God can display His power.<\/p>\n
