John 8:36 (LSB) 36 So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed<\/span>.<\/p>\n

There is a very important truth in this verse that is too frequently overlooked, and perhaps even forgotten in the modern church.<\/p>\n

It is not mysterious. But it is hidden in plain sight right before our eyes.<\/p>\n

Jesus stated in plain words that if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.<\/p>\n

He was not speaking symbolically or in parables. He was not using a metaphor or hyperbole.<\/p>\n

But most of us miss the true depth of His statement. I missed it for years until God opened my eyes to the fullness of what is embedded in the words of Jesus here.<\/p>\n

Jesus states emphatically and with no apologies that if He sets you free, you will be free indeed.<\/p>\n

That word, indeed, is critical to fully understanding what He meant.<\/p>\n

The word, indeed, represents finality, absoluteness. It leaves nothing remaining; no questions about its truth and power. No ifs, ands, or buts.<\/p>\n

You WILL <\/strong>be free. PERIOD.<\/p>\n

Now, let\u2019s unpack that, so we are sure to miss nothing.<\/p>\n

Freedom that takes place in and through Christ is freedom without question. It is ABSOLUTE freedom.<\/p>\n

It is DELIVERANCE that breaks all chains and bonds. There is no element of slavery left in it.<\/p>\n

Look at how it is worded in the Amplified Bible (Classis edition).<\/p>\n

John 8:36 (AMPC) 36 So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free<\/span>.<\/p>\n

It is stated very clearly that if the Son (Christ) LIBERATES <\/strong>you, then you are really and unquestionably <\/strong>free.<\/p>\n

In other words, there is no doubt about your freedom.<\/p>\n

Now, we are starting to uncover the truth here, in its intended depth.<\/p>\n

So, in order not to just brush over this, so we can cover it fully and do it justice, we will continue this tomorrow.<\/p>\n
