John 8:36 (NLT) 36 So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free<\/span>.<\/p>\n

As we left off yesterday, we had established that being set free by Christ gives us genuine freedom.<\/p>\n

To state that more clearly, there is NO ELEMENT of slavery remaining.<\/p>\n

The bonds have been obliterated, cut off, destroyed, and disposed of.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s look more closely so we don\u2019t leave anything unexplained or misunderstood.<\/p>\n

Now, I am about to state some Biblical truths that some will receive without hesitation, while others may bristle up and be offended by them.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m OK with either reaction because what I am sharing is 100% rooted and grounded in God\u2019s word.<\/p>\n

If you doubt any of it, please refer to scripture.<\/p>\n

There are millions (perhaps even billions) of people, including followers of Christ, who live each day in bondage; slavery to one thing or another.<\/p>\n

Some of these bondages are life-altering, both for them and their loved ones. Some have dire consequences.<\/p>\n

Some have been wrestling with these things for more years than they care to admit to. And in all their wrestling, they have not found freedom nor relief.<\/p>\n

Some of these things are viewed as medical conditions. They have been told by doctors that there is no cure. They are stuck with it for the remainder of their lives. They have been given medication that offers some relief, but no cure.<\/p>\n

Still other conditions are not necessarily medical, but the consequences of choices that have been made. And those consequences are heavy to bear, even for the family members of the person who made the choices.<\/p>\n

This is a serious topic that deserves the proper time and attention to bring understanding, and light where is currently confusion and darkness.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s continue tomorrow so we are sure to cover it thoroughly.<\/p>\n
