Job 33:4 (NKJV) 4 The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.<\/p>\n

He not only made us, but He brought us to life by breathing His breath into man.<\/p>\n

Every breath we breathe is God-given.<\/p>\n

This is so precious.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve witnessed two people in my life take their very last<\/i> breath.<\/p>\n

One of them, after being unconscious in the hours leading up to that last moment, opened their eyes and said, \u201cit\u2019s time for me to go now, don\u2019t cry.\u201d<\/p>\n

The other person said, \u201cI guess I\u2019m not going to beat it this time”. I said, “it\u2019s OK. I love you”.<\/p>\n

They replied, \u201c I love you too\u201d. I sat beside them and felt their breathing slowly come to a halt.<\/p>\n

The life and breath in them were gone in the snap of a finger.<\/p>\n

Just like that, they were here and then gone, to be in the presence of the Lord.<\/p>\n

Why? Because they had given their heart to Him.<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 5:8 (NKJV) 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.<\/p>\n

Oh, praise be to God. As a believer it\u2019s a wonderful day when we take our last breath, for the Word of God says we are present with Him!<\/p>\n

Let us not take life for granted. We are one breath away from meeting our Maker. Let us use His breath in our lungs to serve and obey Him to the fullest.<\/p>\n

Amen.<\/p>\n
