Psalm 147:3 (NKJV) 3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.<\/p>\n

I want to talk about pain today because I feel so many of us hurt at times and we don\u2019t even realize it.<\/p>\n

It could be the tiniest thing that happened to us, but it holds a big spot in our heart.<\/p>\n

Right before my dad passed on, he said to me, \u201cI don\u2019t think I\u2019m going to beat this one\u201d. I responded to him, \u201cit\u2019s OK, dad.\u201d<\/p>\n

It wasn’t long after that, he breathed his last breath.<\/p>\n

As time went by, I was missing him terribly, and that moment came back to me.<\/p>\n

And the more I longed to hear his voice again, the more the words I said to him started to haunt me.<\/p>\n

Instead of it being a precious time, being able to say goodbye and all, I started to question what I had said to him.<\/p>\n

It was eating away at me. And then one day I broke down.<\/p>\n

As I was crying, my husband asked me what was wrong.<\/p>\n

I told him, “when my dad died, I told him it was OK to not beat this one”.<\/p>\n

I said, “that was stupid of me”.<\/p>\n

He asked me why I thought it was stupid.<\/p>\n

I said, “because it\u2019s not OK”.<\/p>\n

As the tears rolled down my cheeks, I said, “I don\u2019t want him to be gone, and maybe I didn’t say the right thing”.<\/p>\n

He said to me, “no, it wasn\u2019t stupid for you to say what you said. You were the only one that would<\/i> have said that to him, and he needed to hear exactly what you said. It was his time to go home. Those were the words that helped him let go.”<\/p>\n

You see, sometimes we may be holding onto something that we did or said. And we don\u2019t even realize it is eating away at us and causing pain.<\/p>\n

I needed to talk it out, and as I did, it showed me how much of a grip it had on me.<\/p>\n

What is it today that is causing you sadness and pain? Are you willing to talk it through?<\/p>\n

God wants to bring healing to you.<\/p>\n

We love you all and pray for you daily. You are so very special to us, and we don\u2019t want you to be hurting.<\/p>\n
