Psalm 37:4 (NKJV) 4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.<\/p>\n

So many think this verse is all about God blessing us with our own wants and needs.<\/p>\n

Sometimes, while we are waiting on God, we may become frustrated and want to give up because nothing is happening.<\/p>\n

We may feel like He is not listening to us. Some may even walk away from God or grow hard in their hearts toward Him.<\/p>\n

But, when we truly<\/i> delight ourselves in Him, our will begins to align with His and our desires begin to change.<\/p>\n

Things that we used to desire will fade, and our heart will shift to wanting His desires.<\/p>\n

By the time we reach this point in our walk, our hearts are ready for just about anything He wants to throw at us.<\/p>\n

We have reached a point where our joy now comes from being closely connected with Him, our stability comes from Him, and our focus is all about Him!<\/p>\n

Let us focus on delighting ourselves in Him, not on what we can get from Him. And let our purpose shift to growing closer and being more in love with Him!<\/p>\n

Amen.<\/p>\n
