Genesis 22:11 (NKJV) 11 But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, \u201cAbraham, Abraham!\u201d So he said, \u201cHere I am.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wow! Abraham was at a place in his heart with God where he would withhold nothing from Him; not even his only son.<\/p>\n

These 3 words, \u201cHere I am\u201d, have so much meaning to them.<\/p>\n

Abraham didn\u2019t know what God was about to say, but he was willing and ready in his heart to do just about anything.<\/p>\n

We probably can\u2019t even fathom what God asked Abraham to do.<\/p>\n

Genesis 22:2 (NKJV) 2 Then He said, \u201cTake now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Here today, we struggle with giving our tithe to Him.<\/p>\n

Or we struggle with letting go of certain things He may ask us to give up, like relationships, careers, or maybe certain entertainment, etc.<\/p>\n

As God asks Abraham to take his son, and emphasizes his only son, to offer him up as a burnt offering on the mountain, God knew the depth of this sacrifice.<\/p>\n

Will we obey God\u2019s voice today?<\/p>\n

Will those three words, \u201cHere I am\u201d, ever leave our mouths, showing our willingness to sacrifice the very thing God has blessed us with, yet is now asking us for?<\/p>\n

Genesis 22:18 (NKJV) 18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

God is faithful to bless us as we obey Him.<\/p>\n

Amen.<\/p>\n
