(Hebrews 2:9 NKJV)\u00a0 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.<\/p>\n
For many years I wondered about this verse and what was meant by the statement that Jesus “was made a little lower than the angels”.<\/p>\n
Not only did I wonder about it, but it kind of bothered me because it didn’t seem to fit in with the fact that Jesus was there in the beginning and was the co-creator of the heavens, the earth and everything on the earth, including humans.<\/p>\n
The way I saw this verse, it made it seem like Jesus was below the angels, which are simply created beings, used by God for service. Where was the deity of Christ in this verse?<\/p>\n
I pondered on this for quite some time, wondering what it was really saying. And then one day it was like God removed the veil for me and showed me exactly what it meant. So I want to share that with you today.<\/p>\n
God showed me that Jesus was, in fact, there in the beginning. He was<\/i> the co-creator of all we see, including us. Remember that the Word says in Genesis “let us<\/i> make man in our<\/i> image”. This is clearly a plural statement, using “us” instead of me<\/i> or my<\/i>.<\/p>\n
And the reason that Jesus was said to have been a little lower than the angels is because he chose to become lower than the angels, in human form, for a specific period of time while He walked here on the earth. He became flesh and bone so He could walk among us, experience everything that we feel and, ultimately, die for us.<\/b><\/p>\n
This<\/i> is truth. This<\/i> is fact. This<\/i> is the God we serve. He leaves nothing undone.<\/p>\n
He is the Alpha, the Omega… the beginning and the end. Amen.<\/p>\n
