Romans 3:10 (NKJV) As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;<\/p>\n
So often we hear this verse quoted when someone is being led to Christ. It helps them to understand that everyone sins. Nobody is exempt.<\/p>\n
Today, let’s look at it from another point of view… as believers and followers of Christ.<\/p>\n
If we are a follower of Christ, we have been washed by His blood. Our sins have been forgiven the second we receive Him. This is something that the human mind can’t even begin to comprehend in its fullness. It is a work of God’s spirit… not a work of flesh.<\/p>\n
However, sometimes we need to be reminded that we are still sinners who have been washed in His blood. We are not sinless. We have not arrived!<\/p>\n
We should not wallow in our sins or be condemned by them, but we do need to stay humble and realize that not a single one of us is perfect or sinless. Not one of us makes it through a day without sinning.<\/p>\n
Sometimes it can be easy to forget that “we once were lost but now are found”. And it can become easy to look down our noses at someone who is still lost and trying to find their way, mumbling under our breath about their shortcomings.<\/p>\n
1 Corinthians 15:10 (NKJV) But by the grace of God I am what I am…<\/p>\n
It is the grace of God that has made us who we are in Christ. It is not our own strengths, skills, talents, intelligence or physical stature. God’s grace. Period. Pretty humbling, isn’t it?<\/p>\n
So as we go through the day today, let’s remember where we came from and Who got us to where we are now. And then let’s thank Him for it!<\/p>\n
