(Mark 2:5 NKJV)\u00a0 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”<\/p>\n
A paralyzed man had been brought to Jesus so he could be healed. Instead of healing him right away, Jesus simply told him that his sins were forgiven.<\/p>\n
Although Jesus went on to also heal the man, the fact that He forgave the man\u2019s sins first is very significant.<\/p>\n
God can bless us with all kinds of things\u2026 friends, a nice home, finances and much more.<\/p>\n
But when all is said and done, the forgiveness of our sins is much more important than all of those other blessings.<\/p>\n
Jesus died for our sins, first and foremost. The other things are simply \u201cfringe benefits\u201d that are part of what I like to call \u201cThe Salvation Package\u201d.<\/p>\n
We can have all of the extras and greatly enjoy them, but without the forgiveness of sins the rest is all meaningless.<\/p>\n
Thank God today for your salvation and the fact that all we have to do is ask Him and He will forgive our sins.<\/p>\n
