(Mat 7:24-27 NKJV)\u00a0 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: {25} “and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. {26} “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: {27} “and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”<\/p>\n
As I write this, we\u2019re sitting here in RI being hit by hurricane Irene. The storm has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm, but it\u2019s still hitting us with high winds and our power has now gone off, so I’m using my mobile phone to upload this message to the server so it will be sent out on time.<\/p>\n
This storm reminds me of the scripture above, where Jesus talked about storms beating against a house that had been built on sand, instead of on solid rock.<\/p>\n
There is nothing in this world that can be trusted 100%. Things fail. People fail.<\/p>\n
But God never fails. He is the only one we can trust who will never let us down.<\/p>\n
If our trust is in Him, we can never go wrong. We will never be left alone and we will never be abandoned.<\/p>\n
