John 15:13 (NKJV) Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Love is interpreted by many people as many different things.<\/p>\n

Some think of love only in a sensual way. Others may think of love simply as an emotion shared between two people in a relationship or between parents and their children.<\/p>\n

But God’s love is different. God takes love to a level that the human mind can’t conceive or understand. God loves unconditionally. He doesn’t expect anything in return and doesn’t love us based on what we do or who we are. He loves because He is<\/i> love.<\/p>\n

God has instilled some of that love in us, though. It might be hard to see it most of the time, but it’s there.<\/p>\n

That love is evident in acts of sacrifice, such as a parent putting themselves in harm’s way to protect one of their children, or a spouse doing the same for their spouse. It’s a love that can’t really be explained or put satisfactorily into words.<\/p>\n

But it’s real, and it comes from God.<\/p>\n

It’s this<\/i> love that caused Jesus, the son of God, Immanuel (God with us), to lay His life down for us. This<\/i> is the kind of love God wants us to share with one another.<\/p>\n

So today, stay focused on the kind of love that Jesus displayed. It’s this<\/i> kind of love that changes and saves lives, for now and eternity.<\/p>\n
