{"id":3302,"date":"2014-06-13T01:00:38","date_gmt":"2014-06-13T05:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mybibleverseoftheday.com\/blog\/?p=3302"},"modified":"2014-06-12T20:54:13","modified_gmt":"2014-06-13T00:54:13","slug":"bible-verse-of-the-day-6-13-14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mybibleverseoftheday.com\/blog\/bible-verse-of-the-day-6-13-14\/","title":{"rendered":"Bible Verse of The Day &#8211; 6-13-14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span>James 4:10 (NKJV) 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Humility.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">It&#8217;s something most of us never realize that we&#8217;re lacking, until our pride causes us to come crashing down.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Only after we&#8217;ve fallen do we see where we&#8217;ve been prideful.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Only after we&#8217;ve fallen do we see how pride has crept into our lives and caused us to stray from the path that God had set before us.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">It happens to all of us at one time or another and in varying degrees. We can become prideful over little things or big things. Either way, pride leads to a fall.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Did you know that God resists the proud? That&#8217;s pretty heavy duty stuff. He literally opposes prideful people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">1 Peter 5:5 (NKJV) Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for &#8220;God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">The scripture above mentions young people, but this verse applies to everyone, regardless of age or gender. God really does oppose the proud.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">So do we want God to be opposed to us? I know I don&#8217;t!<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">So let&#8217;s ask God to show us where we&#8217;re prideful.
