Discernment. It’s something every believer needs to have to live a godly life, but also something that so few of us really understand the importance of.<\/p>\n
Probably the most common question people ask when it comes to discernment is “how do I get better discernment?”.<\/p>\n
The answer is simple, but not necessarily easy. But here it is in a nutshell.<\/p>\n
Spend time with God and in His word.<\/p>\n
There you have it. We need to spend time in God’s word each and every day.<\/p>\n
This doesn’t mean that we have to spend 2 or 3 hours studying every day, learning Greek and Hebrew and understanding every single thing there is to understand in His word. But we need to spend at least\u00a0some<\/i>\u00a0time in it each day, even if it’s just 10-15 minutes, taking it in and letting it become a part of who we are.<\/p>\n
As we do this, we will naturally spend more time communicating with God because we will hear Him more clearly. And we will get a clearer understanding of who\u00a0He<\/i>\u00a0is and who He wants\u00a0us<\/i>\u00a0to be.<\/p>\n
And in this, we will develop razor-sharp discernment. Why? Because we will no longer be guessing about things. We will\u00a0know<\/i>\u00a0what’s right for us in God’s eyes.<\/p>\n
So take the time and make the effort, and reap the benefits of having sharper discernment.<\/p>\n
It’s right there for us. We just have to want it badly enough to reach out and grab hold of it.<\/p>\n
