Jeremiah 9 :23,24 (NKJV) Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; 24 But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me,That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord.<\/p>\n
This is how God would like us to walk; humbled in Him. For in Him we are<\/i> wise, in Him we are<\/i> mighty and in Him we are<\/i> rich!<\/span><\/p>\n We are so blessed! But that is not what he wants us to glory in. Instead, He is asking us to understand Him, to know Him and to walk every day in humility.<\/span><\/p>\n Only God can keep us humbled when we walk in such blessings, by staying tightly knitted to Him.<\/span><\/p>\n One day as I was praying, God spoke to me. He told me to stay close to Him. The exact words He used were “tightly knitted”.<\/span><\/p>\n He gave me an example of a husband and wife. As they sit close together on a couch or wherever it may be, nothing can squeeze in between them without being noticed. And the closer they get to each other, the more noticeable that thing is that’s trying to squeeze between them.<\/span><\/p>\n It is that way when we get close to God.
