Matthew 25:23 (NKJV) 23 His lord said to him, \u2018Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.\u2019<\/p>\n
So many of us wrestle with this. The problem is that we don’t know<\/i> we’re wrestling with it. Let me explain.<\/p>\n
Most of us ask God for more; more money, more friends, a better job, a bigger house, better relationships, etc. We all do this at one time or another. And I would dare to say that some of us do this every day.<\/p>\n
This, in and of itself, isn’t necessarily wrong, but we need to understand one important thing. If we aren’t diligent with what we already have, we can’t handle anything bigger than that. And as long as we can’t handle it, we’re really not justified in asking for more, no matter what it is.<\/p>\n
God wants us to learn how to handle what we have so that when we do<\/i> get more, we won’t destroy it<\/i> or destroy ourselves<\/i>. All too often people push and push until they get what it is they’re seeking, and because they weren’t ready for the increase, it doesn’t last.<\/p>\n
Money gets spent foolishly. Relationships are handled carelessly and fall apart. Material possessions aren’t cared for and become in a state of disrepair. A new job comes to us and we act irresponsibly, behaving poorly and getting fired or earning a bad reputation. In the end, it’s all wasted.<\/p>\n
But if we show ourselves diligent with what we already<\/i> have, then<\/b> God can see fit to give us more, knowing that we will act responsibly and handle it properly, giving it the care it deserves.<\/p>\n
It all starts with the little things.<\/p>\n
