Exodus 20:3 (NKJV) 3 \u201cYou shall have no other gods before Me.<\/p>\n
It’s the beginning of a new year!! A good time to check ourselves and make sure we are not putting anyone or anything before God.<\/p>\n
Just the other morning I got up bright and early, and most mornings I will go directly into what I call my “prayer chambers.” \u00a0In reality, it’s just a spare room, where the phone gets shut off, and there are\u00a0NO interruptions. God gets my undivided attention.<\/p>\n
But on\u00a0this particular morning, I jumped out of bed to run to the gym.\u00a0I had a plan;\u00a0I wanted to beat the crowd and get back home.<\/p>\n
As I was getting up I heard these words;\u00a0“What about Me?”<\/p>\n
You see, it means a lot to God when we take time out for Him. Our time together is more important to Him than beating the crowd to the gym. He wants to know\u00a0what’s more important to us.<\/p>\n
He doesn’t want anything or anyone to come before Him. Not the gym, not our job, our children, not even our church ministry, not our finances, not our friends and the pressure to go out and have fun times with them.\u00a0Nothing<\/strong> can come before Him.<\/p>\n Let’s focus this year on loving God most and\u00a0putting Him first\u00a0by being sensitive to what He wants for us.<\/p>\n Let\u00a0Him be our God.
