Philippians 3:10-11 (NKJV) 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.<\/p>\n
In this life that we live, what should our goal be as a child of God?<\/p>\n
What is it that we should be accomplishing here, in this short lifetime that we live?<\/p>\n
Some might say to work advancing the kingdom of God in the earth, and that’s partially correct.<\/p>\n
Others might say to feed the poor and needy and take care of widows and orphans. And that would be partially correct!<\/p>\n
But before we can do any of those things, there is something else we need to do. And that is to know God<\/b>.<\/p>\n
We need to know <\/i>God before<\/i>\u00a0we can do any of those other things. Otherwise, we are acting based only on intellect and head knowledge, and leaving God’s spirit out of the equation.<\/p>\n
God has told us that if we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us.<\/p>\n
James 4:8 (NKJV) 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…<\/p>\n
So as we walk this earth, our primary goal should be to know God. To become intimate with Him and learn to hear Him.
