John 8:12 (NKJV) 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, \u201cI am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n

If we follow Jesus we will not walk in darkness. How do we follow Him? By knowing His Word and walking it out in any given situation.<\/p>\n

Some of the things He says to do will be hard, but He will help us do them if we surrender ourselves to Him and let Him help.<\/p>\n

For instance, He says in Luke 6:28 (NKJV) 28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you<\/span>.<\/p>\n

It’s easy to read this, but to actually walk it out will show us where we need improvement or change.<\/p>\n

When reality hits and someone is in our face, screaming and hollering, telling us we are no good, and they can’t stand us, the words, the rejection and the anger will try to cause us to react. It will be up to us at that moment to act in the way God’s Word tells us to.<\/p>\n

Our emotions, the hurt, and the pain will all come to the surface and it may cause us to do the wrong thing, even though we know what the right thing is to do.<\/p>\n

Don’t get caught up in the emotion of it and give in to darkness. Stay strong, put the feelings aside and walk in the light of life.<\/p>\n
