Proverbs 15:27 (NKJV) 27 He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, but he who hates bribes will live.<\/p>\n
Greed is a terrible thing that can wreak havoc on the lives of those who are consumed by it.<\/p>\n
Greed can cause people to make some really bad choices because it is a byproduct of pride. And we all know how God feels about pride.<\/p>\n
Greed can sneak in a little at a time, and if we don’t recognize it and deal with it, it can cause us to lose everything we have. It can even cost us our relationships with those who are dear to us.<\/p>\n
Greed can take on many forms; insensitivity to those who are in need, a constant drive to make more money and have more possessions, a desire to have nicer things than your friends and neighbors, and many others.<\/p>\n
Sometimes it can be subtle enough that we don’t see it until it has grown into a monster that is ready to swallow us.<\/p>\n
1 Timothy 6:10 (NKJV) 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.<\/p>\n
We can’t let greed be a part of our lives; not even a little, tiny part. Let’s kick greed out of our hearts and out of our homes, in the name of Jesus!<\/p>\n
