Psalm 91:1 (NKJV) 91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.<\/p>\n
There is a “secret place”. It’s a place where we can hear God speak to us.<\/p>\n
This isn’t necessarily a physical place. It could be. But it can also be a quiet time where we have no distractions.<\/p>\n
Even if we’re not in a secret or secluded room, when we get peace, quiet and stillness, it allows us to hear God with no interruptions and no distractions.<\/p>\n
Everyone wants to hear from God. It’s essential to building a strong relationship with Him. But so many times we’re so busy talking that we never leave quiet time to hear what He has to say.<\/p>\n
Elijah wanted to hear from God. And he did hear. How did it happen? Not in thunder, not in a strong wind, not in fire or even in tremors of the earth. He heard God in a still small voice.<\/p>\n
1 Kings 19:11-12 (NKJV) 11 Then He said, \u201cGo out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.\u201d And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.<\/p>\n
God wants us to be still and listen for Him. He wants us to hear Him. He wants us to be listening for Him at all times.<\/p>\n
His voice brings peace, clarity, understanding, wisdom and revelation to our lives.<\/p>\n
