Luke 6:38 (NKJV) 38\u00a0Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n

We had someone write in to us one day, asking us\u00a0to pray that their\u00a0financial\u00a0situation would\u00a0change, so that they would be able to give.<\/p>\n

On another occasion, we had a person tell us that what they really wanted from God was to be able to give abundantly.<\/p>\n

In our own lives, understanding the power that lies within giving was one of the major things that helped us to come out of a huge financial situation many years ago.<\/p>\n

After listening to a\u00a0teaching on giving one day, we realized we were in the mess we were in, not because of anyone\u00a0else’s\u00a0fault, but our own. We needed to obey God and His word, even in our giving.<\/p>\n

If we don’t obey God’s word we\u00a0cannot\u00a0expect to receive His promises. So, that day we\u00a0made a commitment to give to God, first and\u00a0foremost, from that day forward.<\/p>\n

We didn’t know how we\u00a0were going to pay everything else.\u00a0We just took a huge step of faith and gave to God first, every time our check came in. Things got paid and it worked! We saw His promise happen right before our eyes!<\/p>\n

For others, it may be different.\u00a0The way we did it may not be the way you should do it. The best thing to do is\u00a0acknowledge\u00a0where you are at and go from there.<\/p>\n

Pray and ask God where\u00a0and how you should start. He will guide your steps.<\/p>\n

We want this coming year to be a wonderful year for you; the beginning of change in your financial situation. As we hold on to God’s promise, we must begin somewhere. Pray and ask God to bless you so that you may be able to give.<\/p>\n

When He gives to you, or should we say\u00a0when He opens the door for it to come in,\u00a0don’t spend it on other things.\u00a0Because that\u00a0does happen a lot.<\/p>\n

Take it, put it in a safe place\u00a0and give it to where and whom He guides you to.<\/p>\n

We are not saying that trials\u00a0won’t come against you and that everything will always be smooth sailing.\u00a0But we are saying that when they do<\/em> come, you will have protection.<\/p>\n

Malachi 3:11 (NKJV) \u201cAnd I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,\u00a0So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground,\u00a0Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,\u201d\u00a0Says the Lord of hosts;<\/p>\n

There is NO doubt that it\u00a0changes\u00a0our situation\u00a0as we\u00a0obey\u00a0God in our\u00a0giving.\u00a0Amen.<\/p>\n
