Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The day I\u00a0opened\u00a0my very own Bible and began to read God’s word,\u00a0I felt God’s personal touch. I had been saved when I was a child and spent a lot of years in church.\u00a0The Church taught me many\u00a0things.\u00a0But I seemed to have been missing an\u00a0important\u00a0part.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I would wait until the doors\u00a0opened,\u00a0Wed. or Sunday, etc., to get God’s word for me. I relied on my Pastors to feed me. But it’s not all up to the Pastor.<\/p>\n

Pastors need us <\/em>at times. They need our prayers just as much as we need them and theirs. They are people with a big responsibility and they need a healthy congregation to join them in the vision and the call that God has given them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

One of the things\u00a0I learned\u00a0is that I\u00a0spent\u00a0more time on my own than in\u00a0Church. Out of a 7 day week, 2 days maybe in\u00a0Church, but not always. Sometimes just once. And sometimes not even that. Try feeding our natural\u00a0bodies once or twice a week, or nothing at all, and see where that gets us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I’ll tell you where it gets me. Hungry, tired, and WEAK. That’s what I was and it was NOT my Pastor’s fault. It was my own.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Just as our natural bodies need to be fed daily to\u00a0remain\u00a0balanced,\u00a0healthy and\u00a0strong, our spirit man needs the same. And I\u00a0needed to learn\u00a0how to get God on my own, when NO Pastors were around.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We\u00a0are in a battle every day. This\u00a0battle doesn’t stop and wait for us until Wed night or Sunday morning\u00a0so we can get our\u00a0answer from the pulpit. No! The battle keeps on and if we don’t know what to do, we lose ground. We get pushed back and if we get pushed back far enough, we can lose everything.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Do we\u00a0feel like we\u00a0are in that place today? Are we\u00a0losing ground instead of gaining? Is\u00a0our Spirit man\u00a0famished, because of lack of food?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Taking time and reading\u00a0God’s word daily will fill that\u00a0emptiness.\u00a0We will get strong. We will\u00a0win battles, and have a more\u00a0personal, one on ONE walk with HIM!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
