Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV) 6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It is time to shut the TV\u00a0and the phones off. Put the games and the toys\u00a0away.\u00a0Sit down\u00a0and\u00a0share\u00a0all the great and wonderful\u00a0truths of the Bible with our babies, toddlers and\u00a0teens.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Some of us may be afraid to\u00a0teach our kids\u00a0about the Bible.\u00a0Maybe we think it is too late to start this up in our home. We will just let them learn it on their own when they can pick and choose what they want. Wrong!<\/p>\n

For one, it is our responsibility. And two, It is never too late to\u00a0start\u00a0something new, especially if we\u00a0know it will help them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Oh we can bet that we\u00a0may get some fussing, bucking and kicking. Nevertheless, we should stand\u00a0our ground and do what is right in God’s eyes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

All kids need to know and learn the truth. And honestly, they do want it. They just won’t tell us that. We need\u00a0to take the\u00a0initiative.<\/p>\n

Pray about this and let God lead you on how to present it in your home. If it is new and something they are not used to, introduce it ahead of time, letting them know that you will be starting it up soon, and just pick a time. You may feel inadequate about teaching your children, especially if you yourself aren’t sure about some things. Don’t let this stop you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Start by teaching them the things you are <\/em>sure about. Maybe something that stands out the most in your walk with God. Kids just want to know the TRUTH.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Talk to\u00a0them,\u00a0pray\u00a0with them, show them how to reach God on their own.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

My little Grandson started at a very young age.\u00a0He would just go in his room and you could hear him talking to God.<\/p>\n

Time had gone by and one day I felt like I needed to\u00a0ask\u00a0Him, “have you been talking to God recently?”. He said, “not really”. I\u00a0said, “well,\u00a0do you know\u00a0God waits to hear from you?\u00a0You better say hello and let Him know what’s on your heart”. He said, “OK I will. I just get busy playing with my toys sometimes”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

These are words that we can all admit too.\u00a0We just get busy. But it was so good to hear him speak\u00a0the truth. God knows we do get distracted from time to time. But what He loves is that we don’t give up,\u00a0that we get back on track.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We only have so much time with our kids and before we blink, they are adults and on their own.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
