Philippians 4:11 (NKJV) 11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Comparing\u00a0our lives with\u00a0others can cause us to miss\u00a0things God is doing for us in the state or place that we are currently in.<\/p>\n

Maybe we want\u00a0what others\u00a0have more\u00a0than\u00a0what God has for us, even though He knows what is good for us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

For instance, if we hear of someone getting a pay raise at their job and we think, “boy we could sure use that right about now. Why do they get it and we are sitting\u00a0here suffering?”. Or someone we know just gets a new house, or new car and we think, “I wish that was me. I’ve been praying for years and I’m still in the same place”.<\/p>\n

This is comparing what we have to what someone else has and we have no idea what they went through to get to that point. Maybe they also prayed for years and went through some serious struggles to get there. Only God knows.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Everyone is in a different place. Some are in a season of feast and some are in a season of famine. And some are in between.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It can be very hard if we are in\u00a0the\u00a0time\u00a0of\u00a0famine\u00a0and watching others going through the feast season.\u00a0But know that as we remain content with our own <\/em>lives and be thankful for what we do <\/em>have and where we are at,\u00a0our feast will come as well. Especially if we keep the right attitude.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God\u00a0brings breakthrough and answered prayers\u00a0at different times\u00a0to each one of us, as we trust Him,\u00a0believe\u00a0and keep focused with the right attitude.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV) 5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, \u201cI will never leave you nor forsake you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If we struggle with keeping the right attitude, ask God to help. It’s not an easy thing to go through on our own.\u00a0Being content in some seasons takes work, effort and learning to look at things in a whole new light. It doesn’t necessarily come naturally.<\/p>\n

It\u00a0takes\u00a0constant trust and\u00a0accountability\u00a0to God.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
