Proverbs 15:4 (NKJV) 4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.<\/p>\n
Watching our words at all times is a big part of our\u00a0walk with God. It’s a daily\u00a0exercise and\u00a0we should constantly be aware of what we are saying\u00a0to others, making sure it is good and wholesome.<\/p>\n
Some days it can be really hard.\u00a0Those are usually the days\u00a0we wake up and it seems like everything and everyone is\u00a0pulling on us. We are busy, busy, busy and we have\u00a0very little time for anything.\u00a0Our\u00a0patience\u00a0and kindness is\u00a0lost and\u00a0we feel it. That is a sure sign we need to pull back.<\/p>\n
Rest helps us to be alert. But if we neglect it, it can hurt us and trickle down to all those around us.<\/p>\n
Resting is very important and it\u00a0is Biblical. Even\u00a0God, our CREATOR, took rest\u00a0on the 7th\u00a0day.<\/p>\n
Genesis 2:2 (NKJV) 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.<\/p>\n
Good words, good thoughts,\u00a0good attitude\u00a0and good performance\u00a0comes\u00a0when we are\u00a0rested.<\/p>\n
Is God speaking to our heart today and telling us to take a rest?<\/p>\n
Spend some quality time with God in His word, and let Him help us get rejuvenated and back on track. Amen.<\/p>\n
