1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NKJV) 11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We all need to be comforted at times, but today we are going to emphasize on men.<\/p>\n

They need encouragement! They need gratitude. They need to hear “thank you” once in awhile. Their role as leader, head of the home, bringing in the income and taking care of the family is not an easy one and at times can be stressful, heavy and overbearing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We may wonder at times why they are not fulfilling their duty as a man. It’s not always because they are neglecting it on purpose, or because they’d rather play or do something else. Sometimes they are just too tired, overwhelmed, overworked, scared and want to run.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Just because they are\u00a0men\u00a0it does not mean they don’t have feelings, emotions, and fears. They are human and they need help at times, just like anyone else.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

They need our prayers. They need us to check up on them. They\u00a0need to be\u00a0asked at times\u00a0if they’re OK\u00a0or if they need\u00a0some help.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Don\u2019t take him for granted. Love, respect and pray for him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

May God guide us women in knowing how to help at times; To know when he is down in the dumps and clamming up, not saying a word because he feels that his role is to be strong all the time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Men\u00a0need to know\u00a0it’s OK\u00a0to let go and let God lead those around them\u00a0to bring comfort\u00a0and edification in\u00a0times of\u00a0need.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A prayer for\u00a0men:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Dear God,<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I feel tired today.\u00a0My heart is weary, my strength is weak and I need you to bring me some comfort and edification. Forgive me for holding out and trying to do it all.\u00a0I need you. And whatever you have to help me this day,\u00a0I receive it and thank you for it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

In Jesus’ name I pray.\u00a0Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
