Matthew 15:21-23(NKJV) 21 Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of\u00a0Tyre\u00a0and Sidon. 22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, \u201cHave mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.\u201d\u00a023 But He answered her not a word.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

How many of us feel like sometimes we ask God for\u00a0help and we don’t hear or\u00a0see anything happen or change?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We have to first know\u00a0where our\u00a0help needs to come from. If we are just trying it to see if it will work, there is no\u00a0faith in that.<\/p>\n

This Canaanite woman knew her mercy and help needed to come from Christ alone. At first He did not answer her. Not even a word.<\/p>\n

What would we do at this point? Would we say, “Well,\u00a0that didn’t work.\u00a0Let me try something else”?<\/p>\n

After He did not answer her, she didn’t\u00a0get mad or\u00a0give up. She didn’t try something else.\u00a0No. She took the next step.\u00a0She worshipped Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Matthew 15:25 (NKJV) 25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, \u201cLord, help me!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Not giving up and keeping a good attitude\u00a0is ONE of the things we all need to learn to do. Answers aren’t\u00a0always going to come in the way or in the timing that we think they should.\u00a0It may take certain steps\u00a0in getting our answer\u00a0and we need to\u00a0press in instead of walking away.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As soon as this woman showed Jesus that her faith and trust was in Him,\u00a0her daughter was healed from\u00a0that hour. From\u00a0that HOUR! Woo hoo!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Matthew 15:26-27 (NKJV) 26 But He answered and said, \u201cIt is not good to take the children\u2019s bread and throw it to the little dogs<\/span>.”\u00a027 And she said, \u201cYes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters\u2019 table.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It was in her response and actions toward\u00a0Him that He saw her faith. Maybe He is waiting to see our<\/em> faith and\u00a0how we will\u00a0respond to Him\u00a0today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Matthew 15:28 (NKJV) 28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, \u201cO woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire<\/span>.\u201d And her daughter was healed from that very hour.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

May our response and\u00a0our actions today show Him that our faith remains in Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
