Acts 1:8 (NKJV) 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Jesus is speaking to the disciples in this verse. They\u00a0needed power to do what He\u00a0asked them to do. He’s telling them that they\u00a0cannot\u00a0do it on their own, or by intellect. They needed Holy Spirit power; power from on High.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So what makes us think we can do these same kinds of things without the help of the Holy Spirit?<\/p>\n

This is why we find ourselves giving up, not completing\u00a0what we started. We find ourselves tired, beaten down, walked on,\u00a0overworked, and simply irritated and exhausted.<\/p>\n

How will we\u00a0touch the lives of those who need\u00a0Christ like this?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Jesus told them they would receive POWER.\u00a0We also need this\u00a0power, strength, and guidance of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We, His children, His body, every person, every denomination and every people group need the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to fall on us, so we may do the things God asks us to do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Cry out to God\u00a0for the filling of the\u00a0Holy Spirit today that we too may be full of strength and\u00a0power to be all that He wants us to be, to do the work that He has called us to do unto the ends of the earth.<\/p>\n

\n

Acts 2:4 (NKJV) 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.<\/p>\n

Dear God in Heaven,<\/div>\n
We come to You and ask for your filling of the Holy Spirit that you promised us.\u00a0 Come and fill us and help us walk this walk. We can’t do it on our own and forgive us for trying. Empower us with your Spirit, our Helper. We receive Him today In the name of Jesus Christ.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n

Let Him fill us\u00a0today. He is faithful!\u00a0Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
