Matthew 10:34-36 (NKJV) 34 \u201cDo not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 For I have come to \u2018set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law\u2019; 36 and \u2018a man\u2019s enemies will be those of his own household.<\/span>\u2019<\/p>\n

Sometimes we may not\u00a0understand why our very own family doesn’t\u00a0want anything to do with us at times. They argue or fight\u00a0with us and have no\u00a0respect for the\u00a0decision we have made to serve Christ.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It really isn’t about us as much as\u00a0it is about\u00a0Who<\/strong><\/em> we have chosen to\u00a0stand for. We might notice that we sometimes aren’t\u00a0included in different family celebrations or\u00a0parties. We may not be invited out to lunch with friends at times. We\u00a0may even be looked down upon at times for doing absolutely nothing wrong.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God will help us to know how to continue to love others and not let their hurtful words or accusations against us cause us to look at them differently.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The sword that we carry is Christ in us. Sometimes it can cut\u00a0without<\/em> us even saying a word. People don’t understand why they feel the conviction they do within their hearts when they are around us, so\u00a0they will sometimes\u00a0lash out or run away.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Don’t take it personally.\u00a0It comes with the decision we make to follow Christ. He will help build our character and\u00a0show us how to handle each situation.<\/p>\n

Luke 6:27 (NKJV) 27 \u201cBut I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you<\/span>…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
