1 Peter 5:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I remember when my\u00a0niece, who was just a little girl, fell out of a moving car and into the road. After, as her daddy was holding her in his arms,\u00a0she said “DADDY”, for the last time. A short time later she was gone.<\/p>\n

I\u00a0cannot\u00a0describe\u00a0the feeling I had, seeing her little body on the bed in the hospital ER, laying there; No\u00a0movement and\u00a0no life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I remember her little stories that she would\u00a0tell\u00a0us about how her daddy would brush\u00a0her hair at night before\u00a0bedtime. Oh, how she loved that time. Our little sweet niece was gone and there was a hole in our\u00a0hearts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When my teenage nephew was in a terrible car accident a few years ago, he actually died for a short time as they removed\u00a0him from the car. As they laid him on the\u00a0stretcher\u00a0they were able to revive him and get a\u00a0heartbeat again.<\/p>\n

They took him by helicopter to the hospital, bleeding from the brain, with several other severe injuries. Doctors said there was no way he would make it through the night.\u00a0He is still alive and thriving today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Why does one live and one not make it? This\u00a0is a\u00a0question\u00a0that many people have.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Seasons of life can be\u00a0devastating, shocking and can seem unbearable. People go through extremely difficult things daily all over the world. We just don’t know it, unless they are friends or family members.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Along with losing a loved one, there are other kinds of losses that can affect us greatly.<\/p>\n

For example, divorce is a loss. The sudden ending of a longtime friendship\u00a0is a loss. Unemployment is a loss. Miscarriage\u00a0is a loss. Abortion is a loss, etc.<\/p>\n

There are many kinds of\u00a0losses that people go through that are very difficult to endure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

One of the things we need to remind ourselves of is that whatever loss we go through, life is not over. It is not the end for us. Yes, that loss\u00a0is real, it is painful and we must accept it. But we must keep living.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God can and will bring healing to that\u00a0emptiness, that pain, that suffering, and that unbearable feeling that you can’t go on.\u00a0There are things in life that, as humans, we\u00a0can\u00a0not\u00a0withstand on our own. And if we try to, we will lose.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Trying to withstand it on our own will open the door to\u00a0misery, anger, bitterness, jealousy,\u00a0envy, hurtfulness and being just plain nasty toward others. God did not create us to carry these burdens on our own.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We can try to blame Him for it, saying “Why, God?\u00a0Why did You let this happen to me or to\u00a0them?”. And\u00a0we can be stubborn and push away from Him. But it will not help bring the healing that we need. It will not help us or the situation. It will just bring more pain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We will never get past this on our own.\u00a0Healing comes from within, and if we don’t let it out and talk about it, there will be no healing taking place. Instead, there will just be a constant ache in our heart every day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God\u00a0loves you and wants to help. Reach out to Him today. Get the help He wants to give you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
