Matthew 11:28 (NKJV) 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

There is no rest when we find ourselves struggling from day to day with finances. It can pull on our relationship with God,\u00a0our family, and any other relationships we may have.<\/p>\n

The heaviness of it can cause us to lose our desire to fight or to keep going. Depression, negativity and loneliness can set in, making us feel like we are in a constant battle that we can never win.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

How do we win this battle? How long will it take to feel like we are above and not\u00a0beneath?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Many people have financial issues. Why? Because, there are very few\u00a0that grow up being taught how\u00a0to properly handle finances; How to save, how to give, how to spend, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

There is a lack of preparation and teaching in the home when it comes to how to properly handle our finances.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God’s word teaches us His principles regarding money.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He\u00a0makes us think about what place money holds\u00a0in our heart. Is it first place? Is it second place, or third etc.?<\/p>\n

Only we can answer this. When\u00a0we figure out what place money\u00a0holds, then we can begin, because this very important question\u00a0will tell us where the change needs to come in.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Matthew 6:21 (NKJV) 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If we want to fully serve\u00a0Jesus,\u00a0we need to give Him our finances. Ouch. That’s tough, because many of us\u00a0like to\u00a0think\u00a0our finances are\u00a0our\u00a0finances, period.<\/p>\n

And many of us probably think that this is the one area of our lives that\u00a0we can handle and have some control over.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If we are financially broke and things are not good, then really, what control do we have?\u00a0We may say, “well if I had more money I could make it work”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

That is the point…it’s not about how much we have. It’s about what we do with what we have.<\/p>\n

Once we know the right\u00a0steps\u00a0to take\u00a0with our finances, we won’t have to think about how much we have or need. What we have\u00a0will begin to work for us as we put it in its proper place.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Our finances have\u00a0come from God. He owns everything.\u00a0It is time we acknowledge Him with them and\u00a0say…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Dear God, take my finances. Forgive us for this mess and\u00a0help us do what is right with the money you have blessed us with. No matter how much we have, we are thankful for it and give it to You.\u00a0Show us how to handle it\u00a0properly,\u00a0that\u00a0it may glorify YOU. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Let God move on our hearts today in\u00a0taking\u00a0the first step. We may need to sit down and start a new budget by giving\u00a0Him first place on that\u00a0list.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We are\u00a0excited\u00a0to hear of the\u00a0changes to\u00a0come\u00a0as you step out in obedience and in faith today!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
