Matthew 17:21 (NKJV) 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Sometimes we pray and pray and see no change.\u00a0We need to\u00a0remember, some things may need fasting as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Early one\u00a0morning we received a phone call. We were asked to go to a hospital and pray for a patient. We knew immediately we needed to fast that day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

You may ask “how did you know?”. It was just a “knowing” that it was what we needed to do.\u00a0Nothing spooky or weird. We just knew.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Later that evening we arrived at the hospital and met with\u00a0the patient. The patient was out of\u00a0sorts. They were very unresponsive, despite not being unconscious. We knew this was more than just medical issues.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0we prayed for them\u00a0we began to see signs of\u00a0deliverance. Their\u00a0countenance\u00a0began to change and they were\u00a0starting to clear up in their mind.\u00a0They were able to\u00a0begin to respond to us and\u00a0answer questions that we asked them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Over the next few days they continued to get better. And it wasn’t long before they were released to go home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Through prayer and fasting, God brought deliverance for them. The two worked hand in hand\u00a0in this particular situation.<\/p>\n

So we encourage you to consider fasting if you’re not seeing a change in a situation you’ve been praying about for a length of time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Just to\u00a0caution\u00a0those with health\u00a0issues\u00a0of any type, please make sure to\u00a0consult your\u00a0doctor before you try\u00a0any type\u00a0of\u00a0fasting.\u00a0There may be limits as to what you can\u00a0do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If we have health issues and we can’t go without eating, we can fast from other things besides food. Going without doing some of the things\u00a0that we may love to do can also be considered a\u00a0sacrifice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God knows our heart and our situation. He will meet us where we are at.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
