1 John 4:10 (NKJV) 10\u00a0In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Propitiation – something that propitiates; specifically: an atoning sacrifice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God, in His\u00a0love for\u00a0us, knew we needed help to be rescued from our sinful state. So He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be our\u00a0sacrifice.\u00a0Jesus is perfect, Holy, and sinless. His life here on earth demonstrated how we should walk and live each day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

His death on the cross was for us.\u00a0He was the propitiation for our sins. Yes, our deceitfully and wicked hearts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When He\u00a0died, His blood, His body, every bit of His being was perfect as perfect can get. His\u00a0sacrifice was pure. It covered all of our sins for yesterday, for\u00a0today and for\u00a0tomorrow.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

What a wonderful and powerful love the Father and the Son had for each other and for us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We can not forget\u00a0what has been done for us. We can not let\u00a0anything take away from\u00a0this love, this heartfelt compassion that was shown for us by this incredible sacrifice.<\/p>\n

We need to\u00a0Keep it close, fresh and new every day. Loving\u00a0both the Father and Son\u00a0with all our hearts, watching our actions, and words as we follow\u00a0the\u00a0example that was put before us. We have a friend in Jesus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

John 15:13 (NKJV) 13\u00a0Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one\u2019s life for his friends<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
