(Acts 3:1-7 NKJV)\u00a0 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. {2} And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; {3} who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. {4} And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” {5} So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. {6} Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” {7} And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.<\/p>\n
Today was a particularly hard day for me. There were a couple of things that came my way this morning that tried to ruin my day and set me on a bad course.<\/p>\n
God had prepared me for this, though, so I had to lean on Him and pull on Him to keep from spending the day hanging my head and letting the enemy get the best of me.<\/p>\n
Have you ever had one of those days? I thought so!<\/p>\n
But because we have God on our side, He tells us to RISE UP and walk. We have no excuse for lying down and letting ourselves be depressed or miserable.<\/p>\n
We can choose to lie down and lick our wounds or we can grab God\u2019s hand and let Him pick us up and strengthen us. Which will you choose?<\/p>\n
